Mentors Honored at Statehouse Event
Boston, Mass.- Kicking off National Volunteer Week April 24-28, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest will host its first "Mentors Matter" event at the statehouse in Boston on Monday, April 24.
More than 50 people will be honored, including current and former Big Brothers and Sisters and volunteers who have helped advance the agency's mentoring programs.
"It's important to recognize the impact one person can make on the life of a child," said Ben Ticho, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest.
At the event, honorees will receive a plaque and meet with state representatives.

Over the past 43 years Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest has mentored more than 3,000 children.
